  • This is a church for sinful people who come together as a community to love Jesus and love each other. There's no judgement or condemnation here but there sure is a lot of great people who care about you and care about Christ.

  • As visitors for the weekend to Savannah, we decided to go to church as a family of 5, but kept our expectations low since we didn't know anyone from the church. We had only heard that it was a "faith alone in Christ alone" church, and we were looking for a church like that. We were amazed...the people were friendly, the atmosphere was positive, but most importantly for us the pastor was a PHENOMENAL communicator, explained the Bible, made it relevant, and was real.
All 5 of us agreed after we left that if we ever moved to Savannah for any reason, we would already have a church home.

  • I can't begin to explain what CBC did for me when I found it but it was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. After a few years of avoiding a church pew for various reasons I was challenged by a friend to find a new place and try to rebuild my relationship with God. I found CBC shortly after and never looked back.

Everything about CBC is exactly as it should be. Everyone is incredibly friendly, the music is fantastic, and as many other reviews have said, Bill is a FANTASTIC pastor. He understands how to take everything the Bible has to offer and put it in a way that makes it relatable to everyone.

I am originally from Minnesota and after living in Savannah for 4 years my wife and I moved back home 2 years ago to be near family. We love our life here but the one thing we have never let go of is how incredible CBC was to us and the impact every single experience had on us and continues to have on us. I listen to as many sermons as I can as I haven't been able to find anyone who does it better.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, CBC. I feel God's presence every day now and I have everyone there to thank for helping me open up my heart again for that to happen.

I would give the preaching at this church 5 stars or more. The music one star or less, same ole loud praise music every church has these days. If some of your congregation is wearing ear plugs you music might be to loud. I would like to say the church is friendly, but I don't see it. My wife an I have gone for two months now (for the sermons) I can not tell you one person's name there. People clap for the songs, rise their hands for the music, but if they don't know you, they will not say one word to you. Maybe it's just the self involved genaration we have these days. They would rather wear shorts to church for their own comfort than speak to one of us old boys or gals (as I heard one of the pastor call us over 50's). I write this not to make the hard working pastor of this church feel bad, but to make others think. Church is not about you it's about comming before a holy God with your best offering and to listen not rock out like your at a self involved concert of your on pleasure.

  • I've been raised in church since I was born in 1973. This is by far the best church I've ever been a member of. My wife and I have visited Andy Stanley's and Louie Giglio's churches and we both agreed that the teaching was much better here. So blessed to be a part of this particular body.
